Now Offering: Mobile Access Payment (MAP) Program
Handy Tech North America is pleased to now offer a new program by which
consumers may pay for specific Mobile Software products over time and
interest-free. The Mobile Access Payment (MAP) Program takes the sting out
of your pocket book and in spite of a struggling global economy, makes this
life changing technology attainable by people for whom the lump sum
expenditure is prohibitive even in the best of economic times.
United States residence may now purchase Mobile screen readers from Code
Factory and Nuance Communications as well as popular GPS navigation
solutions such as Way Finder Access and Mobile Geo and have the freedom of
paying it off over 6 or 12 easy installments.
This program is being initiated by Handy Tech North America, known for their
work in modifying mainstream off-the-shelf technology for use by people who
are blind or have low vision and their high level of service and support.
Customers may choose from several mobile software solutions, make monthly
payments equal to a proportionate fraction of the cost of the software plus
a $100 administrative fee and spread the payments over 6 or 12 months time,
interest-free.
For example, the MobileSpeak screen reader and Mobile Geo GPS navigation
software bundle has the combined retail value of $1,190.00.
The pricing for this package under the MAP program breaks down as follows:
$1,190.00 plus $100 administrative fee equals 12 easy monthly payments of
$107.50.
We're sorry, we are not able to offer hardware products such as mobile
phones or GPS receivers on the MAP Program at this time.

Right... interest free payments ... plus $100... so is this "administrative fee" a one Time Fee or will it be added to every map purchase made?
This $100.00 administration fee will actually be spresd out through the entire finance period, so either 6 or 12 months. If you were to purchase software utilizing the MAP program multiple times, then yes it would be a charge that you would incur each time you utilized the service. Please feel free to write me via a private message for more information.
Good going Dave, it's about time someone did this! This is something I've been wanting for years for aadaptive software and equipment. maybe someday you guys will be able to do it with equipment.
However, that link doesn't seem to work.

I agree this is a very good thing, and I can understand the $100 fee for the first purchast to get registered in the program or something, But lets call this for what it is, they found a way to help us out while boosting their sales and profit margins.... in a down ecconomy non the less... kudos to you guys for coming up with this one. So what exactly does that extra $100 go twoards each time if my assestment is incorrect?
I guess he can answer if it matters. but the other side of the coin is they could have.
gone with financing then only those with really good credit ratings would be approved, and then on top of that if you were approved with bad credit you have financing fees, interest, late fees. and I can promise you all of that would end up way over 100 dollars down the road.
I don't know if this is subject to credit approval it might very well be, but it doesn't look to be that way!
For me personally and being someone who has worked in business for 10 years, this isn't a bad deal at all!
This is something I'm definitely glad to see!!
Like i said, its a good thing and kudos to them. But they are walking the fine line of false advertising by saying "no interest" When there is still an additional charge. Yes technically its not false advertising since they call it a"administrative fee" and not interest. But that pharase "no interest" does lead one to believe at first that there is no addtional fee. And yes depending on what your total purchase is and how much the interest rate would be, it could end up being more ... or less .. than $100. So just sheer curiosity as to waht the $100 is for since its added to each purchase and not a one time fee like other similiar payment programs.
